Welcome to Novel Tribe. By subscribing to our service, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Novel Tribe is a subscription-based children’s book service that delivers age-appropriate books and reading-related items to customers on a monthly basis within South Africa.

 

Subscriptions & Billing

 

  • Novel Tribe operates on a monthly subscription model, billed in advance.

  • Subscription payments are processed securely via our payment partner, Paystack.

  • Customers may select a billing date of the 1st, 25th, or 30th of the month at sign-up.

  • Once selected, the billing date remains fixed unless changed prior to the next billing cycle.

  • Book quantity (1, 2, or 3 books) is selected at sign-up and remains fixed unless upgraded.

 

Invoicing

 

  • Invoices are automatically generated and emailed once payment has been successfully processed.
  • Invoice dates will correspond with the customer’s selected billing date.
  • Invoices serve as confirmation of payment for the upcoming dispatch.

 

Deliveries

 

  • Delivery is free and handled by our courier partners.
  • Subscription boxes are dispatched on the 15th of each month.

  • Once a box has been dispatched, customers will receive a tracking number via email or SMS to monitor delivery progress.
  • Delivery timelines may vary based on location and courier operations.
  • NovelTribe is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.

 

Changes & Upgrades

 

  • Customers may request an upgrade to a higher book tier before their next billing date.

  • Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time.

  • To avoid being charged for the next cycle, cancellations must be completed before the next billing date.

 

Intellectual Property

 

All content, branding, and materials on the Novel Tribe website are the property of Novel Tribe and may not be reproduced without permission.

 

Refund Policy

 

  • At Novel Tribe, we aim to keep our service simple and transparent.
  • No refunds will be issued once a subscription box has been processed or dispatched.
  • If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, Novel Tribe will replace it at no additional cost.

 

Cancellation Policy

 

  • Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time.
  • To avoid being charged for the following month, cancellations must be made before the next billing date.

 

Failed Payments

 

  • If a subscription payment fails on the selected billing date, Novel Tribe will attempt the payment once.

  • If the payment is unsuccessful, the subscriber will be notified via email and an invoice will be issued.

  • To continue with the subscription and be included in the next scheduled dispatch, payment must be completed via EFT.

  • EFT payments must be made within 5 days of the invoice date.

  • Proof of payment must be emailed to payments@noveltribe.co.za within this period.

  • Subscriptions with outstanding or unpaid balances after this period will not be included in the upcoming dispatch.

Novel Tribe respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

  • Delivery address
  • Child’s name and age (to curate appropriate books)

Payments

 

  • All payments are processed securely via Paystack.
  • Novel Tribe does not store or have access to your card or banking details.
  • We do not sell or share personal information with third parties, except where required to fulfil deliveries or comply with the law.

 

Shipping Policy

 

  • Novel Tribe offers free delivery on all subscription packages.
  • Deliveries are made via Fastway Couriers or equivalent courier partners.
  • Orders are typically delivered within 3–7 business days after dispatch.
  • Delivery is available throughout South Africa.
  • While we aim for timely delivery, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control.
